At Drummoyne Presbyterian Church we offer a Kids Church program at 10:30am Church and a creche at 5:00pm.
Our Kids Church program aims to give kids a fun and safe place to learn about God's word and his love for each of them. Each class has a dedicated person who develops the lesson Program for the year and all Kids Church teachers attend annual training which includes OH&S training and Child Protection training.
Our Kids Church Program is broken up into a number of different age groups which caters for children from babies to Year 6 at school.
A creche area is available for parents with children under 18 months near the main entry of the Church. This is equipped with toys, audio visual feed and reverse cycle airconditioning. Breastfeeding is welcome - please make use of the couches in the creche area.
For 1-2 year olds, Little Fish introduces children to the Kids Church format through songs, stories, craft, free play and morning tea. There is a designated teacher each month and additional parents volunteer to stay dependant on the number of children present. If your child is comfortable to stay by themselves and there are enough parents to cover the number of children, feel free to return to Church. Little Fish is generally held in the front room of the lower hall.
For 3 -5 year olds, Big Fish starts to introduce some central bible ideas and continues the format of singing, stories, craft, free play and morning tea. Parents are encouraged to leave your children with the Kids Church teacher and assistant teachers and return to Church. Big Fish is generally held in the back room of the lower hall.
For kids in Kindy - Year 2, Funky Monkeys starts to introduce a more detailed look at the Bible with group activities, a bible story, prayer, morning tea and craft. Funky Monkeys is generally held in the upper hall.
For kids in Years 3-6, the Lions provides bible teaching through interactive lessons and games. The Lions is generally held in the upper hall.
For kids in high-school (years 7 to 10), DY is our youth group where teenagers learn about the Bible through small Bible study groups as well as interactive games. DY is generally held in the manse (the Senior Minister's house), just opposite the church hall.
