5pm Dinners
One of the best things about night church is eating together! Its a great opportunity to connect with one another. Night Church continues over food…
At the Door
Greeting people warmly at the door and giving them the information they need for Church is an important part of making all people - newcomers and long timers - feel welcome at Drummoyne Presbyterian.
Bible Reader
Hearing from the Bible is a central part of our church meetings. Each week a different member of our church family reads the Bible passage.
Kids Church
At Drummoyne Presbyterian we are blessed to have a number of kids in our Church family. Kid’s church is a fun and safe place for our kids to learn about God’s word and what it means for them.
Kids Spot
At Drummoyne Presbyterian we are blessed to have a number of kids in our Church family. Kid’s church is a fun and safe place for our kids to learn about God’s word and what it means for them.
Leading Church Gatherings
The leader of the church gathering helps organise how it will run. They also provide clear direction on the day so that everyone knows what is happening and when.
Ministry of the Pew
You don’t need to have an ‘official’ role to serve at Church on Sunday. Sometimes it’s the people sitting in the pew who can have the greatest impact!
Morning Tea & Supper
Church doesn’t end with the last song or prayer – it continues on as long as people want to stay. That’s why morning tea and supper are so important – it gives us a chance to catch up, welcome newcomers, and share what we have learnt or been challenged by. It also tastes good!
Music
Music is a great way for us to worship God together - it gives people a chance to reflect on the message and ‘make a joyful noise unto the Lord’.
First Sunday Lunch
On the first Sunday of every month we have First Sunday lunch together after 10:30am church. This gives us a bit more time to talk to each other and find out how things are going in each other’s live.
Overseas Mission Support Team
At Drummoyne Presbyterian we are excited to be part of God’s mission for the world to hear about Jesus. The Overseas Mission Team coordinates our mission support for long-term and short-term mission work.
PA Desk
Many hands make light, sound and projectors work! The person on the PA Desk makes sure everything up the front can be seen and heard.
Public Prayer
Talking to God, praising him, confessing our sins and bringing our worries and concerns to him are an important part of every church gathering.
Red Boxes
All collections of money for the work of God’s kingdom in Drummoyne and overseas are made through the secure Red Boxes.
Role Co-ordinator
Each Sunday there are many people involved in each Church meeting. We want each congregation to work toward being a congregation where everyone feels they have a ministry. Role coordinators ensure we have people rostered on each week to serve in each of the different roles.
Playgroups
Playgroup is a ministry of Drummoyne Presbyterian Church. We aim to:
• Be a place where children and families can learn about God, his world and the great love he has shown us in Jesus.
• Provide a safe, fun and friendly environment for infants, preschool children and their parents.
• Build relationships with local families to support them in the parenting of their children.
With the aim of Playgroup in mind, priority is given to parents of children living in the local area, who have the best opportunity to be connected into our church community.Playgroup membership is offered at the discretion of the playgroup leader.
Please contact Karen McMillan for any further information ( playgroup@drummoyne.org.au).
